2-Day Civics: Synopsis

 
Florida has the goal to be the national leader in civics education and Florida’s school administrators and institutions of higher learning faculty are instrumental in this endeavor. As part of the Civics Literacy Excellence Initiative, the Florida Department of Education will host a centrally located, two-day civics training open to school-based leaders and institutions of higher learning faculty on September 26 and 27, 2023. The event will consist of two full days of training which will include plenary speaker sessions, breakout sessions for grade-specific strategies and presentation of available resources.
 
School administrators and faculty of Florida institutions of higher learning who attend this event will receive a $500.00 stipend.
